While my current profession is web design, I actually went to school for writing. Over the years I have worked as a reporter and an editor. I’ve always been a bit of a rules person, whether it be board games, or CSS, or grammar.

I’m one of those people who reads the directions before assembling something or playing a game. I realize it’s hard sometimes for others to deal with someone like me. But what can I do?

I’ll tell you.

I can stop correcting people’s grammar. It’s rude and annoying, even though my intentions—helping others speak properly—are good.

So to all the people whose grammar I corrected over the years, I’m sorry. Go forth and foil the English language. I do it all the time, so why shouldn’t you?
