Narrowing Our Ideas
From out 50+ concepts, we identified similarities and opportunities to combine concepts. We chose what we believed to be our 10 strongest concepts and developed scenarios for each.
The concept scenarios were to be used in a concept validation session with a group of potential users. The goal of our concepts was to explore needs, functionality, and to test the boundaries of the space.
We organized our concepts into three areas:
- social interaction
- systems and information
- fashion and style

The concepts included:
- social play list sharing
- album cover art displayed on public LCD
- ubiquitous music storage
- smart system that provides bus info
- work info delivered in transit
- food planner analyzes ingredients at home and suggest meals during the evening commute
- music player bag
- pendant music player
- tape controller that can be placed anywhere
- pin player controls
- fingernail tape controllers
- graphic ink (tattoo) controllers
