On the 22nd and 23rd, the School of Design has its annual job fair. As a first-year student, it’s an opportunity for me to talk to potential employers about summer internships.

In addition to our regular nearly impossible workload, I’ve been writing and designing my résumé and planning my portfolio. Soon, I must actually design and build my portfolio.

It’s funny how much time I put into designing my résumé, since that’s something I never really did before. A Word template used to suffice. No longer! Not with being in a design school and having studied typography.

The more I learn, the more there is to do. While ignorance is bliss, it sure doesn’t yield good design.

I put a link to my jaminhegeman.com site on my résumé. That site has a link to this site, which means employers might be reading this. Will it affect their decision to talk to me? I wonder.
