		<description>i agree: the individual is key. which isn&#039;t to say that the individual is paramount, like a rock star, but rather that a person brings perspective and point-of-view and experience (or naïvité). and groups of individuals have the potential to make magic &lt;i&gt;because&lt;/i&gt; they have different perspectives.

learning models is important in how they help us learn, but taken as gospel, they constrain us. each person has a model that&#039;s right for them, they just have to figure it out for themselves. or adopt one that makes sense. a couple of years ago, i watched a &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0297814/&quot; rel=&quot;nofollow&quot;&gt;documentary&lt;/a&gt; about bruce lee, and if my memory serves, one of the interviewees talked about the importance he places on the individual in the actual practice of fighting, not just martial arts. i think the same applies to other things, including (or especially) design. learn the art, but be yourself. i&#039;ll end with the dedication in his book, &lt;i&gt;tao of jeet kune do&lt;/i&gt;: &quot;This Book is Dedicated to the Free, Creative Martial Artist. Take what is useful and develop from there.&quot;</description>
